Naagin fame telly town actress Mouni Roy has everything going right for her. After making a splash with the role of a hapeshifting snake in Ekta Kapoor’s leading TV show, the gorgeous beauty is all set to make her big Bollywood debut with Gold, which features Akshay Kumar in the lead role. And now speculations are rife that Mouni has bagged a role in Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3.
If a report by an online news portal is to be believed, the third installment in the superhit Dabangg franchise will feature two actresses in the lead roles besides
Salman. While Sonakshi Sinha has been retained from the previous parts, Mouni is being rumored to be the latest addition to the cast. While there has been no official announcement yet, we cannot wait for the good news if the reports are actually true.
The script for Dabangg 3 is underway as the film is in its pre-production phase right now. The makers have finalised the one-liner idea for the third part and are now developing the screenplay.
“This time, we will have some resemblance to the first one (film)… It should feel it is coming from the same stock. We are new to prequels, but this is the way to move forward. But it is not a complete prequel. There is a portion of it. It is not that the full film is a prequel. The film will move back in time,” director of the
first two Dabangg films Arbaaz Khan said.
Dabangg 3, Arbaaz said, will be about how Salman Khan’s character was born and his journey of becoming Chulbul Pandey. The film will go on floors by 2018 and is
expected to release in early 2019
Meanwhile, Mouni, who attended the recently concluded Bright Perfect Achievers Awards here on December 26, was asked about her maiden venture in tinsel town. On Gold, in which she features with Akshay Kumar, Mouni said: “I have finished shooting for Gold and it has been an amazing experience. I am looking forward to August 15, 2018.”
Mouni Roy’s closeness to Salman Khan is known to everyone and thus, her Bollywood debut with Gold gave rise to rumors that it was Salman who helped her bag the Akshay Kumar starrer. However, producer Ritesh Sidhawani quashed all such reports and said she was in the biopic only because of her talent. But if the TV starlet has really landed Dabangg 3 in her kitty, it won’t take long for mills to churn out yet another assumption.
