Post Baahubali, all eyes have been on Prabhas’ next film. Saaho, the teaser of which was released in April this year, has enjoyed great buzz around it. However, what
his Hindi – speaking audience is eagerly waiting for is to see him in a Bollywood film.
There have been ample reports about many Bollywood filmmakers approaching the Telugu superstar. Some even suggested that Prabhas had a hush-hush meeting with some for
a potential project. Fans lapped up these news pieces, further proving how desperately they are waiting for Prabhas’ Bollywood debut.
Bad news, there is no official confirmation. Good news, Prabhas’ Bollywood debut film might already be on anvil. Confused? Look closely and you’ll see the clues. We
have valid reasons to believe why Saaho is Prabhas’ Bollywood debut film. Here’s why we say so…
The female lead
There was huge buzz about Prabhas’ leading lady in Saaho. Fans were waiting to see Anushka Shetty romance the Baahubali star once again. Second bet was on Tamannaah
Bhatia, who also shared screen space with him in SS Rajamouli’s film. However, instead of going for a Telugu actress, the makers opted for a face from Bollywood.
Katrina Kaif, Pooja Hegde, and Shraddha Kapoor were in the running and finally the latter made the cut.
India.com exclusively revealed to you how Neil Nitin Mukesh beat South star Arvind Swamy to become the villain in Saaho. But the makers didn’t stop at that. When the
script was revised and more negative characters were added, they once again went on a hunt for names from Bollywood. Chunky Pandey and Jackie Shroff were next to join

Support cast and crew
Saaho is becoming bigger each passing day and can now boast of an ensemble cast. Here again, director Sujeeth Singh and his team got names like Mandira Bedi, Mahesh
Manjrekar, Tinnu Anand, Narendra Jha and Aditya Srivastava amongst others on board.
Not just this, the film also has music by Shankar – Ehsaan – Loy, who are much loved music composers in the Hindi film industry and is part produced by Karan Johar’s
Dharma Productions, along with UV Creations.
The film is set to be shot extensively in Hyderabad, Dubai, several parts of Europe and Mumbai! But the Mumbai schedule is special. Our sources from the film have it
that Saaho will shoot a very crucial part of the film in the bay. The scenes will not be shot on a set, but on real locations in the city, to up the relatability
factor with the Bollywood audience.
The film was initially slotted to be shot in Telugu and dubbed in other Indian languages. However, post the stupendous success of Baahubali, the makers of Saaho
decided to shoot the film in Telugu and Hindi simultaneously and dub it in Tamil, Malayalam and other major languages. While dubbing and releasing South Indian films
for the Hindi-speaking audience is not unheard of, we seldom see a South movie getting made in the language and getting a theatrical release in screens akin a regular
Bollywood film. If you haven’t noticed yet, Saaho is slated to be distributed by Fox Star Studios. Incidentally, this will mark a first for Fox as it has never worked
on a Telugu project before this.
Pan India appeal is something most filmmakers are working on today, but one can see how Saaho team is going all out to make sure that the film looks like a Bollywood
film – be it the language, locations or the characters. While B-town filmmakers beeline for Prabhas’ date for a Bollywood debut, the superstar might just be bringing
