With Baahubali, Prabhas is no longer a superstar just in the South. He is a phenomenon all across India. But something you might not have known about the Baahubali star is that he hardly thinks of himself as a star. Despite all the acclaim he has received for his work in Baahubali and Baahubali 2, Prabhas refuses to acknowledge himself as a national star.

1. Superstar before Baahubali
Prabhas has done numerous movies in the South and is a superstar in South India. With Baahubali first, and Baahubali 2 now, of course, Prabhas is a national sensation.
2. Prabhas and Rajamouli
Prabhas and director SS Rajamouli have collaborated for the third time with Baahubali. Before joining hands for Baahubali: The Beginning, Rajamouli and Prabhas worked together for the 2005 film Chhatrapati. But it was Baahubali: The Beginning that catapulted the actor-director duo to an enviable league. Baahubali, the first part, saw immense success and paved the way for Baahubali: The Conclusion to become a blockbuster.
3. 600 days and 5 years of dedication
Prabhas likes to work on only one movie at a time. He shot for nearly 600 days, and dedicated 5 years of his life to the two Baahubali films.
4. Extensive workout
Prabhas had to go through a rigorous training schedule and followed a strict diet for it. He gained 22kgs for Baahubali. He went to 87kg from 82kg for the role of Shivudu and then reached the mark of 105kg for Baahubali’s character. He ate 40 boiled eggs everyday and was trained by Lakshman Reddy, Mr World 2010.
5. An avid reader
Prabhas might be very busy in his career but still finds time to devote to his passions. He is an avid reader and has a personal library at home.
6. Sports lover
Prabhas loves sports and prefers free-hand workout as opposed to sweating it out in the gym. He got a volleyball court set up in his courtyard to improve his reflexes, as Baahubali was a war movie and he needed better reflexes. He often plays volleyball with his friends because he considers it a good stress-buster. Prabhas is a fitness freak and considers rock climbing the best form of training.
7. A shy person
He is one of the most shy actors in the country and keeps a low profile. He is also one of the most non-controversial Indian actors and is a down-to-earth person. The humble actor still does not acknowledge himself as a national star.
8. 6,000 marriage proposals!
Prabhas received around 6,000 marriage proposals but he turned all of them down because he wanted to be focussed on Baahubali.
9. Undivided dedication
During the shoot of Baahubali, Prabhas even declined a Rs 10-crore endorsement because he did not want his attention to be deviated from the film. Prabhas also turned down many Bollywood offers during the course of Baahubali.
10. Nature lover
Prabhas has a garden which houses many birds. The birds reside in open cages which give them the freedom to take flight and return to their respective cages.
