The film was promoted as an erotic thriller, and only an average business was expected from it, as it caters to a certain kind of audience. Despite all this, Hate Story 3 opened to fabulous numbers, and has done well on its first weekday also. It earned Rs. 9.72 crores on Friday, Rs. 8.05 crores on Saturday, Rs. 9.05 crores on Sunday and Rs. 4.40 crores on Monday. Collectively, the film has raked in Rs. 31.22 crores at the domestic box office.
If the film continues to keep up the momentum, Hate Story 3 will register a wonderful business to its credit. It has received mixed to negative reviews though.
Starring Karan Singh Grover, Sharman Joshi, Zarine Khan and Daisy Shah in lead roles, Hate Story 3 is the third part of the series; the first two installments came out in 2012 and 2014 respectively.
Sharman, who has always been seen in ‘clean’ roles, seems to have shed his boy-next-door image, probably in a chase to revive his film career, and has given his boldest shots in Hate Story 3. Zarine too has gone way ahead of her previous hot stints and turned a total seductress.
