Early reports indicates ‘Dilwale’ in Saturday might have done better than its opening day collection.  The film has picked up at the box office in the evening shows. It is safe to say that it’s 2nd day box office collection has headed for approx 22 CR plus total.

Yesterday, the film had a slight drop in the morning shows. The overall occupancy was 60-65% which was good. It started to recover in the evening shows. The advance booking was terrific which helped Dilwale 2nd day collection to increase further.

West Bengal was again the best performing circuit even though Bajirao Mastani improved here. The same was the case with Mysore. Ranveer Singh starrer made a huge dent to Dilwale collection in Maharashtra belt.

Dilwale box office collection in 2 days will be over 43 CR. The business has got divided between Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani. And also some shows of Dilwale were cancelled in different parts of India.

But still Dilwale Saturday collection should have been better. As in comparison, last year PK collected 30 crore on its second day and Dilwale has fallen short of that by a good margin, we can blame the two major releases for this. The gap between Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani is also expected to shorten today.

The film has performed extremely well in overseas. Dilwale overseas collection is 11 crore with some territories yet to be reported. It  has set the highest opening day record in Gulf and also expected to do so in Pakistan.

Now it have to show huge growth on Sunday. The advance booking is good but the reports are mixed. Though it does not a matter a lot for big films but here it is facing Bajirao Mastani which is receiving excellent response.
